The minimum age to rent a car in Portugal is 18 years old and the driver must hold a full license for at least 2 years with no major infringements. If the driver is under 24, a young driver fee will be applied. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is required if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver’s license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present driver’s license and photo at the time of rental.

You are only allowed to drive in Spain if you select the extra insurance for Spain in the booking form. Other countries beside Portugal and Spain are not allowed.
Within 24 hours after your reservation request, you will receive full confirmation of your reservation.
You must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel when it was collected. Missing fuel will be charged on your return.
We accept cash - in Euros - and major credit cards - VISA, Mastercard. We only accept American Express for pre-reservations on our website through Paypal. We do not accept American Express payments at the counter.
Standard Airauto's Faro Airport car hire insurance includes: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess fee according to the vehicle type; Third Party liability (TP); Theft Waiver (TW) and breakdown assistance. The excess fee is shown in the car listing (step 2) under rating details & conditions.
